"If I'm following a general, and he's leading me into a battle, and the enemy tends to give him rewards, or awards, or rave reviews, or interviews. Especially Utusang Malaysia. I get suspicious of him." - ~Libang Libu~

Saya hanya ikut Hadi. Hadi masuk lombong, saya pun masuk lombong cari bijih. Hadi tak mau pegi Kelantang, saya pun tak hingin pegi Kelantang.

Azizang cuma dengar Hadi. TG Nik Aziz duduk tepi diam-diam. Gitu kot?

Mutakhir ini kalau diperhatikan ada 2 corak/patern yg amat digemari wakil rakyat PR sekiranya bermasalah dgn parti masing-masing;

1. Utusang dan Berita Hairang jadi pilihan. Utusang lah tempat mengadu hal.

2. Balun Mat Nuar. Mat Nuar itu, Mat Nuar ini. Tak terfikir langsung oleh Azizang, Asang Ali, Ezam Kotak, Zahren RM2, Go Bala, Anak Jailu bahawa tanpa Mat Nuar boleh kah mereka itu duduk kerusi empuk sekarang. Tanpa Mat Nuar, agak-agak tsunmi 2008 boleh jadi?

Kita perlu ingat Nakhaiei meninggalkan PAS, Asri Muda meninggalkan PAS dan kalau 2 ketul pak lebai Asang dan Azizang ini pun nak buat perangai, apalah sangat.

Pergilah mam.

Mayan Light Beam Photo: Message from Gods, or iPhone Glitch?

Madu tualang power! Click here

"El Castillo," a Mayan temple on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico,
with a mysterious "light beam" emerging from the top.
When Hector Siliezar visited the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza with his wife and kids in 2009, he snapped three iPhone photos of El Castillo, a pyramid that once served as a sacred temple to the Mayan god Kukulkan. A thunderstorm was brewing near the temple, and Siliezar was trying to capture lightning crackling dramatically over the ruins.

In the first two images, dark clouds loom above the pyramid, but nothing is amiss. However, in the third photo, a powerful beam of light appears to shoot up from the pyramid toward the heavens, and a thunderbolt flashes in the background.

Siliezar, who recently shared his photographs with occult investigators, told that he and his family didn't see the light beam in person; it appeared only on camera. "It was amazing!" he said. He showed the iPhone photo to his fellow tourists. "No one, not even the tour guide, had ever seen anything like it before."

The photo has surfaced on several Mayan doomsday discussion forums. But was the light beam a sign from the gods — a warning about Dec. 21, 2012, the date that marks the end of the Mayan calendar cycle, and when some people fear the world will end? Or is it simply the result of an iPhone glitch?

If it wasn’t for a certain pint-sized Argentinian genius, Cristiano Ronaldo would be head and shoulders above every other footballer on the planet.

At the weekend, the Portuguese superstar was at it again, netting a cheeky backheeled goal to give league leaders Real Madrid a vital 1-0 win in a local derby game. Here’s the goal, which was Ronaldo’s 29th of the campaign…

Torres is too frightened - Alan Shearer

Madu tualang power! Click here

FERNANDO TORRES has become a frightened striker. Frightened of getting a chance because he is frightened of missing a chance.

Frightened of the reaction he will get if that ball goes wide.

He no longer wants to be in a position to score because then he can't be criticised if he misses.

On Saturday, he had the perfect opportunity when he came on with around 15 minutes left to get a goal against an already beaten Bolton.

But when Juan Mata got the ball wide and looked for a fox in the box, Torres was stood outside of it. He didn't want to know.

I really don't know if he is ever going to get back from the place he is in now. Certainly not at Chelsea.

Louis Saha and the Hairdryer

Madu tualang power! Click here
LOUIS SAHA has revealed how Alex Ferguson left him deaf and dumbstruck with his 'hairdryer' — after he scored TWICE.

The Tottenham striker faces former club Manchester United and ex-manager Ferguson on Sunday in a crucial match at the top of the Premier League.

And Saha will never forget how the man he still calls 'boss' laid into him at half-time of only his second appearance for United at Everton.

He said: "When I headed towards the changing-room, I was feeling proud. As soon as I sat down, I was woken up in a violent way — Sir Alex Ferguson rendered me deaf.

"I was surprised but yes, it was me he was yelling and screaming at.

"He was going mad and I quickly understood why — he was unhappy because we came in with only a three-goal lead when we should have wrapped the game up.

10 illegal baby names

Madu tualang power! Click here
1) Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii (New Zealand)

New Zealand law bans names which could cause offence to a 'reasonable' person. Good thing too - the country is a stupid name hotspot. We found a couple from the islands who tried and failed to call their son '4Real', but nothing beats the ridiculous moniker above. It belonged to a 9-year-old girl before a judge had her renamed during a custody battle. 'It makes a fool of the child,' he said. It certainly made application forms a pain in the butt.
Has New Zealand banned any other names? Oh yes. The judge listed some that were also blocked: Fish and Chips (twins), Yeah Detroit, Keenan Got Lucy and Sex Fruit. Number 16 Bus Shelter and Violence were allowed.

2) Venerdi AKA 'Friday' (Italy)
Maybe this is what the Pope was talking about. Back in 2008 a court banned an Italian couple from calling their child Venerdi (translation: Friday). The judges reckoned the name - taken from 'Robinson Crusoe' - would expose the boy to 'mockery' and was associated with 'subservience and insecurity'. The parents, however, might have the last laugh; they threatened to call their next child Mercoledi (Wednesday).
Has Italy banned any other names? Italian courts can step in 'when the child's name is likely to limit social interaction and create insecurity'. In Turin, Andrea was rejected (and changed to Emma) as it's a boy's name in Italy. Dalmata has also been rejected, as it means Dalmatian.
[Relevant: The origins of 10 British baby names]

3) Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116 (Sweden)
No, we didn't fall asleep on the keyboard. That is an actual name a Swedish couple tried to inflict on their son back in 1996. Apparently the name is pronounced 'Albin' (we're not sure how), and the parents chose it as a protest against Sweden's admittedly strict naming laws. Tax authorities must give their blessing to both first and surnames before they can be used.
Has Sweden banned any other names? Oh yes. Some favourites include Metallica, IKEA, Veranda and Q. Google was OK though.

Liverpool win 3-2 on penalties

ANTHONY GERRARD missed the crucial penalty for Cardiff to see his cousin and Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard lift the Carling Cup.

The Bluebirds defender put his spot-kick wide in a Wembley shootout neither side seemed destined to win.

It saw Liverpool's six-year wait for a trophy ended, but was cruel on the Championship side who played their part in a thrilling final.

Ben Turner had earlier hit a leveller two-minutes from the end of extra time, after Dirk Kuyt thought he had won it for Liverpool on 108 minutes.

An Idiot's Guide to the Palestinian Conflict

Madu tualang power! Click here

For centuries there was no such conflict. In the 19th century the land of Palestine was inhabited by a multicultural population – approximately 86 percent Muslim, 10 percent Christian, and 4 percent Jewish – living in peace.

In the late 1800s a group in Europe decided to colonize this land. Known as Zionists, they represented an extremist minority of the Jewish population. Their goal was to create a Jewish homeland, and they considered locations in Africa and the Americas, before settling on Palestine.

At first, this immigration created no problems. However, as more and more Zionists immigrated to Palestine – many with the express wish of taking over the land for a Jewish state – the indigenous population became increasingly alarmed. Eventually, fighting broke out, with escalating waves of violence. Hitler's rise to power, combined with Zionist activities to sabotage efforts to place Jewish refugees in western countries, led to increased Jewish immigration to Palestine, and conflict grew.

UN Partition Plan

Finally, in 1947 the United Nations decided to intervene. However, rather than adhering to the principle of “self-determination of peoples,” in which the people themselves create their own state and system of government, the UN chose to revert to the medieval strategy whereby an outside power divides up other people’s land.

Under considerable Zionist pressure, the UN recommended giving away 55% of Palestine to a Jewish state – despite the fact that this group represented only about 30% of the total population, and owned under 7% of the land.

1947-1949 War

While it is widely reported that the resulting war eventually included five Arab armies, less well known is the fact that throughout this war Zionist forces outnumbered all Arab and Palestinian combatants combined – often by a factor of two to three. Moreover, Arab armies did not invade Israel – virtually all battles were fought on land that was to have been the Palestinian state.

On April 9, 1948, Jewish soldiers carried out the slaughter of Deir Yassin in a cold and premeditated fashion, lining men, women and children up against the walls and shooting them

Finally, it is significant to note that Arab armies entered the conflict only after Zionist forces had committed 16 massacres, including the grisly massacre of over 100 men, women, and children at Deir Yassin. Future Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, head of one of the Jewish terrorist groups, described this as “splendid,” and stated: “As in Deir Yassin, so everywhere, we will attack and smite the enemy. God, God, Thou has chosen us for conquest.” Zionist forces committed 33 massacres altogether.

By the end of the war, Israel had conquered 78 percent of Palestine; three-quarters of a million Palestinians had been made refugees; over 500 towns and villages had been obliterated; and a new map was drawn up, in which every city, river and hillock received a new, Hebrew name, as all vestiges of the Palestinian culture were to be erased. For decades Israel denied the existence of this population, former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir once saying: “There is no such thing as a Palestinian.”

1967 War & USS Liberty

In 1967, Israel conquered still more land. Following the Six Day War, in which Israeli forces launched a highly successful surprise attack on Egypt, Israel occupied the final 22% of Palestine that had eluded it in 1948 – the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Since, according to international law it is inadmissible to acquire territory by war, these are occupied territories and do not belong to Israel. It also occupied parts of Egypt (since returned) and Syria (which remain under occupation).

Also during the Six Day War, Israel attacked a US Navy ship, the USS Liberty, killing and injuring over 200 American servicemen. President Lyndon Johnson recalled rescue flights, saying that he did not want to "embarrass an ally." (In 2004 a high-level commission chaired by Admiral Thomas Moorer, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, found this attack to be “an act of war against the United States,” a fact few news media have reported.)

Current Conflict

There are two primary issues at the core of this continuing conflict. First, there is the inevitably destabilizing effect of trying to maintain an ethnically preferential state, particularly when it is largely of foreign origin. The original population of what is now Israel was 96 percent Muslim and Christian, yet, these refugees are prohibited from returning to their homes in the self-described Jewish state (and those within Israel are subjected to systematic discrimination).

Second, Israel's continued military occupation and confiscation of privately owned land in the West Bank, and control over Gaza, are extremely oppressive, with Palestinians having minimal control over their lives. Over 10,000 Palestinian men, women, and children are held in Israeli prisons. Few of them have had a legitimate trial; Physical abuse and torture are frequent. Palestinian borders (even internal ones) are controlled by Israeli forces. Periodically men, women, and children are strip searched; people are beaten; women in labor are prevented from reaching hospitals (at times resulting in death); food and medicine are blocked from entering Gaza, producing an escalating humanitarian crisis. Israeli forces invade almost daily, injuring, kidnapping, and sometimes killing inhabitants.

According to the Oslo peace accords of 1993, these territories were supposed to finally become a Palestinian state. However, after years of Israel continuing to confiscate land and conditions steadily worsening, the Palestinian population rebelled. (The Barak offer, widely reputed to be generous, was anything but.) This uprising, called the "Intifada" (Arabic for "shaking off") began at the end of September 2000.

US involvement

Largely due to special-interest lobbying, U.S. taxpayers give Israel an average of $7 million per day, and since its creation have given more U.S. funds to Israel than to any other nation. As Americans learn about how Israel is using our tax dollars, many are calling for an end to this expenditure.

US army general says striking Iran bad move

Madu tualang power! Click here
Ynetnews, 19 February 2012

WASHINGTON, Feb 19: The Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Army General Martin Dempsey said Saturday that an Israeli strike on Iran "wouldn’t achieve its long-term objectives" and would be "destabilizing."

In an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, Dempsey said that taking military action against the Islamic Republic would not be not "prudent."

The US general claimed that the economic sanctions imposed on Iran together with international pressure are beginning to have an effect. “We are of the opinion that Iran is a rational actor. We also know, or we believe we know, that the Iranian regime has not decided to make a nuclear weapon."

Addressing the possibility of the US arming the Syrian opposition, Dempsey said "I think intervening in Syria would be very difficult." He explained that international actors like Turkey, Russia and Iran all have an interest in Syria.

Earlier on Saturday British Foreign Secretary William Hague said that Iran is clearly trying to develop a nuclear weapons capability, and if it succeeds it will set off a dangerous round of nuclear proliferation across the Middle East.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic silenced his critics by putting in a man-of-the-match performance as Arsenal were demolished by AC Milan at the San Siro.

The Swedish striker has gained worldwide recognition as one of the best players on the planet. However for some reason, English football fans have long been sceptical of his abilities.

A criticism often levelled at ‘Ibra’ is that he doesn’t turn up in the big games, or that he’s never really performed in the Champions League. This myth was debunked on Wednesday night.

Two assists and a goal showed Arsenal fans what could have been. Wenger tried to sign the striker twelve years ago but the deal collapsed when Ibra allegedly refused to take part in a trial.

Although one good performance against an admittedly terrible Arsenal side won’t be enough to convince everyone of his talents, it’s certainly a good start. Five goals and three assists from five Champions League starts this season is admirable, including scoring against his former club Barcelona in the group stages.

Mintak dana. Madey mintak dana dari Israel kerana nak menang berlawan dgn PAS.

Kehadapan saudara yg diingati selalu Encik Ehud Barak,

Buatlah macam mak bapak depa punya.

Keano: Captains Like Bruce And Cantona Didn’t Have An Ego

Madu tualang power! Click here
Roy Keane, who won more trophies with United than any other captain, has talked about the importance of captains. Looking back to the likes of Pearce, Bruce and Robson, Keane was impressed with how little ego they had about their role and instead their focus on setting a good example to their team mates.

7 Health Symptoms You Should Never Ignore

Madu tualang power! Click here
1. Sleep problems: Amy Korn-Reavis, respiratory therapist and sleep technologist, cautions you should not ignore sleep-related issues. "I have been working in this field for a long time. I believe one of the things people do not talk to their physicians about is their sleep problems," she says. "If a person has heart issues, diabetes, or high blood pressure and they have issues sleeping, snoring, or high levels of fatigue, they should talk to their physician about it."

If you don't know where to begin and are suffering from the conditions mentioned, Korn-Reavis suggests using an Epworth sleepiness scale or a Berlin questionnaire and discussing the results with your doctor.

2. Vaginal discharge: Alyssa Phillips, physician assistant and bone marrow transplant survivor, knows firsthand what an abnormal vaginal discharge can tell you. "I didn't ignore or delay seeking medical attention when I began having a watery vaginal discharge that I thought was just a routine bacterial infection," she says. "Turns out, it was a really rare and aggressive type of cervical cancer called Large Cell Cervical Neuroendocrine Cancer." She was in Stage IV at the time of her first symptom and seeking medical care immediately saved her life.

3. Constipation: Almost everyone is constipated these days. Did you know each of us should be having one to three bowel movements a day to be at our best? "When we go several days without [going number two], it could indicate a blockage, tumor, or prolapse in the colon," says Dr. Kathy Gruver, author of The Alternative Medicine Cabinet. "This should be checked out by a physician."

4. Headaches: Although we're all familiar with the occasional headache, it can sometimes also indicate a serious problem like a brain tumor or meningitis, says Dr. Gruver. If your headache is accompanied by a fever, stiff neck, or vomiting or lasts an unusually long time (more than a few days), it should be investigated, she says.

Other symptoms that require medical attention: A severe headache that comes on suddenly; a headache accompanied by slurred speech, vision problems, trouble moving your arms and legs, loss of balance, confusion, or memory loss; a headache that gets worse over a 24-hour period; a headache that occurs with a head injury.

5. Tooth and facial pain: Dr. Gruver has had several clients who have had facial pain and were misdiagnosed. "They went from dentist to dentist to find out they ultimately had shingles in the facial nerve," she says. "Because it wasn't treated quickly, it led to painful and permanent neuropathy in the face. It could have also lead to blindness."

6. Diarrhea: It's gross-no one wants to talk about it, but you should if you're experiencing diarrhea for longer than a few days. This could indicate a serious problem, like a parasite, Crohn's disease, cancer, pancreas or gall bladder problems, and more. Dr. Gruver points out that simply taking anti-diarrheal medicine is not the solution.

7. Acid reflux: One in four people in the U.S. suffer from acid reflux, but just because it's so common doesn't mean you should ignore it, says Dr. Carson Liu, board-certified surgeon. "Acid reflux can cause heartburn, dental erosion, and asthma-like symptoms when stomach contents are aspirated into the lungs," he says. Plus, it can lead to esophageal cancer.

"Popping a few pills doesn't seem like a big deal, so the quick fix is the go-to for the vast majority of people suffering from the condition," he says. This quick fix is only masking the condition. Acid reflux is a progressive disease and becomes wore as the anti-reflux valve in our esophagus deteriorates. Talk to your doctor about the best treatment for you.

Following the departures of Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas in the summer, keeping hold of their captain was vital for the gunners.

The Dutchman has carried his team and lead by example this season with 13 goals to his name already, his form has been nothing short of spectacular so far this season.

If Arsenal are to succeed it seems that keeping hold of Van Persie is vital.

2 - David Silva

Possibly the most creative player in the league and devastating when in top form.

The Spanish International has been a revalation since signing for City last summer and his been vital in their success so far this season.

It says alot about the Spanish team that a player of his ability cant get into the starting XI.

Betapa halus dan micronya juga telur kita.

Tak boleh kena picit sikit, mulalah mengelinjang mengeliat seram sejuk satu badan.
Mulalah nampak tanah berekar-ekar,
opis cantik secretary cantik, drebar ada, peon ada,
rumah banglo sapa nak bayar, kereta besar mengaum sapa nak bayar.
Kah kah kah!!!

Semalam kata tak boleh (sini), hari ini kona baring maut sampai terlondeh-londeh la seluar,
berterabur serban,
pucat biru gigi dan gusi,
dah boleh kata Malaysia Boleh! (sini pulak).

Kita ini manusia kerdil dan lemah.
Kena sengih pun telur dah naik bawah dagu.

Muka smart, pakai smart, tapi akal pendek.

Kalau dah jadi wakil rakyat, suaplah anak bini dgn elaun/gaji wakil rakyat. Yang gatal batu nak jadi pengarah kenapa?

Ingat senang-senang orang nak kasi title pengarah? Nak jadi peon pun kena ada pengalaman.

Ingat senang-senang orang nak kasi RM5,000-00 tiap-tiap bulan? Sekarang ni nak dapat RM5,000-00 keluar peluh keluar lendir tau?

Palat macam ini ada dimana-mana. Palat-palat macam inilah yg amat menyusahkan.

Dah kena asak, dah cemas, keluar la artikel panjang lebar. Ingat orang nak baca?

Saya pakai songkok. Saya Melayu.

Pernah aku terbaca bahawa Madey itu Lee Kuan Yew Malaysia, manakala Lee Kuan Yew itu Madey Singapooorah. Perangai lebih kurang sama. Baik dgn Yahudi.

Semalam aku terbaca satu posting di blog Tukar Tiub yg mengesahkan apa yg aku terbaca satu ketika dulu. Kompom Madey dan Lee Kuan Yew ini sama species. Talian hayat mereka ialah Yahudi. Tanpa Yahudi kedua-duanya sudah lama dimakan sejarah.

Betapa yahudinya perangai Madey membenarkan tentera US menggunakan kem tentera kita ikut suka bila masa. Siap ada perjanjian dalam tahun 1985. Jangan tak tau.

Betapa yahudinya perangai Madey mintak sumbangan Yahudi semata-mata nak menang berlawan dengan PAS. Cukup cilake.

Bukan semua Ibrahim Ali.

Jasa menghulur beras? Lancaw. Itu bukan duit poket sendiri. Duit kempen. Duit elaun. Duit peruntukan. PERKASA? Apa yg perkasa sangat? Itulah perjuangan Melayu yg tak sudah2 dan tak nampak langsung hasilnya menobatkan Melayu. Bak kata Nizar, "Dimana UMNO kuat, disitu Melayu merempat". Perjuangan PAS jauh lebih mulia dan jelas.

Yg aku tau Broheng Ali seorang 'fiery orator', keturunan kodok dan kaki kipas Hasmah Ali. Ingat di zaman Madey? Broheng cium jugak tangan Madey, tapi tangan Hasmah bukan sekadar dicium, kalau boleh nak dijilat sampai menjelejeh air liur. Hebat tak hebat Broheng Ali usha kabel.

Kes Najib pergi Batu Caves, Mufti UMNO sendiri dah kata pergi Taiposam itu haram, tapi Broheng memandai kata kalau sekadar bawak obor tak mengapa (sini). Punya cepat dan cargas Broheng gilap telur boss. Gilap telur ini penting utk hayat politik. Ambik contoh Nazri Aziz.

Bukan mewakili Sakai Tasik Cini, tapi katak-katak Tasik Cini.

Sama-samalah kita tunggu dan lihat macam mana UMNO/BN membalas budi Broheng Ali.

US filmmaker Sean Stone, son of Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone, converted to Islam on Tuesday in Iran, where he is making a documentary, he told AFP.

"The conversion to Islam is not abandoning Christianity or Judaism, which I was born with. It means I have accepted Mohammad and other prophets," he said in a brief telephone call from the central Iranian city of Isfahan, where he underwent the ceremony.

Sean Stone's famous father is Jewish, while his mother is Christian. The 27-year-old filmmaker did not say why he converted.

According to Iran's Fars news agency, Sean Stone had become a Shiite and had chosen to be known by the Muslim first name Ali.

Sean/Ali Stone has acted in minor roles in several of his father's films, and has directed a handful of documentaries.

Beli mangga Solex baru untuk mengunci peti zakat - Jamil K

SEREMBAN 13 Feb.

Tapi dia pergi jugak. Degil. Bodoh. Sombong. Angkuh. Tipikal UMNO.

Kalau orang cerai talak 3, dah tak boleh rujuk balik. Betul?
Kalau orang murtad, 3 kali kali diajak taubat tapi masih degil. Ubatnya kerat leher. Betul?

Jadi kes 3 kali deret tak miss Thaipusam ini, apa cerita??

Asang Ali kena berbuat sesuatu. Mintak toloooooong la... Ini perkara membabitkan akidah. Asang Ali jgn asyik dok main korek idung kembang dengan pengerusi SYABAS. Kahkahkahkah!!!!

Despite all of the success Sir Alex has brought to Old Trafford, this season was undoubtedly his greatest and the team of 1999 will forever be remembered as one of the best.

Menjawap komen PUAD ZAKAR: Satu Pengolahan Semula

Apakah hak PUAD ZAKAR mencadang saya ditarbiyah semula?

Saya akhiri dgn pantun 2 kerat.

Pecah kaca pecah gelas,
sudah baca harap balas.

Sekelian pembaca blog yg budiman, kita sama-sama tunggu balasan surat PUAD ZAKAR.

Sekian terima kasih.

Sesungguhnya banyak lagi yg kita tak tau tentang NFC projek bela lembu itu.

Aku tau tentang NFC melalui Suara Keadilan, setelah dibentangkan utk umum oleh Rafizi mamat Jambu. Si jambu ini jugaklah dulu bercita-cita nak jadi ketua pemuda Keadilan. Tapi mana ada kelas nak kalahkan Chegu Bard.

Melalui Malaysia Kini, aku dah tau keluarga Shahrizat dah jadi keluarga tauke lembu. Satu Malaya jugak dah tau perangai Shahrezat anak beranak macamana. Perangai UMNO.

Baru aku tau, duit RM250 juta itu dipanggil pinjaman mudah (sini). Maknanya, kalau untung boleh bayar balik ikut suka hati. Kalau bengkrap boleh cuci ponggong tak payah bayar sesen haram. Gitu?

Malaysia's Anti-Opposition Bloggers

Does Kuala Lumpur have a home-grown version of China’s ’50-centers?’

Is Malaysia getting its own version of China’s so-called 50-centers, the legions of Chinese bloggers who monitor websites and reply to criticism of the government for money?

Ahiruddin Attan, the Kuala Lumpur-based pro-government blogger who writes under the name “Rocky’s Bru” says last September he pulled together friends to set up what he calls a small news portal called The Mole with the idea “to give certain balance to the reports of Malaysiakini, Malaysian Insider, Malaysia Today.”

In Ahiruddin’s view, “there are too many anti-establishment, anti-government sites in Malaysia.”

The Malaysian Insider reported last year that the government had provided US$10 million for the project. Other reports circulating in Malaysian political circles say the bloggers have been provided with US$10 million by the United Malaysia National Organization, the country’s biggest political party, and another US$10 million from the Malaysian billionaire Syed Mokhtar al Bukhary to follow the proliferating anti-establishment news organizations that are thronging Malaysia and state the government’s viewpoint.

But, Ahiruddin said in a telephone interview: “That US$10 million is totally crap. There is no truth at all in it. We are really small.” A former editor of a variety of UMNO publications including the Business Times, The Malay Mail and The Sunday Mail, he says he derives his current income from his continuing directorship at the Mail, a Kuala Lumpur-based daily tabloid. To reports that he had bought a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with his new-found wealth, he snorted. The Harley, he said, is 12 years old.

Despite Ahiruddin’s denials, other sources insist that at least 10 to 15 people are involved in the effort, with government support.

Because all of Malaysia’s mainstream media, including newspapers and television, are owned by its ruling political parties the country has generated perhaps the most vociferous opposition Internet news portals in the region, with some, including Malaysiakini and the Malaysian Insider, providing professional coverage of the government.

Although government officials grit their teeth over what the news portals publish, they have adhered to a pledge made by former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad to leave the Internet censorship-free. Mahathir made the pledge in 1995 to promote the international development of his multi-media Super Corridor, which was designed to attract high-tech industry across the globe. In 1998, the government allowed Malaysiakini to begin operations.

The result, along with the proliferation of news sites, most of them anti-government, has been an explosion of readers who gather their news from the Internet. According to Freedom House, a whopping 55 percent of Malaysians had access to the Internet in 2011. And, the NGO said: “In the watershed elections of March 2008, the ruling National Front coalition lost its two-thirds majority for the first time since 1969. In addition, opposition parties won control of five of the country’s 13 states, including those with relatively high Internet penetration rates…Together with the growing popularity of independent online news outlets, the use of the Internet for political mobilization was widely perceived as contributing to the opposition’s electoral gains.”

“Any blog that is registered, we will pick up their story automatically, we only pick up some stories to follow up, to do follow-through,” Ahiruddin said. “Talk about a blog war room is totally crap.”

The so-called “50-cent party” arose in China in 2005 when Nanjing University officials hired students to search bulletin boards for undesirable information and counter it with comments friendly to the Communist Party. The price for each entry was said to be half a yuan (0.8 US cents) although varying prices have been paid by different Chinese organizations.

The result has been a deluge of comments, not only on Chinese bulletin boards but almost any Internet publication across the globe that contains stories about China. Any even-mildly negative story about China on the pages of Asia Sentinel is certain to generate swift and angry replies charging a pro-US bias, calling attention to the once-dominant history of western colonizers in China and decrying US interference in international affairs.

Burial for OIC

Madu tualang power! Click here
Dr Muzaffar Iqbal,
08 February 2012

This is an urgent notice to all concerned to immediately arrange for the burial of the body called Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), along with its six subsidiary organs, five specialized institutions and organs, and four standing committees. The urgency comes from the fact the stench from this dead body has now become unbearable.

OIC, called “O I See!” by the insiders, has been rotting for quite some time, but it is the Arab Spring which has really brought out its foul smell. This is perhaps because of all the fresh blood of hopeful youth that has been spilled in lands which have not seen an iota of hope for at least three generations, and where even now, tanks, planes, and murderous armies are killing scores of their own people whose only sin is that they want to live in dignity.

Whatever the cause may have been, the urgent need to bury OIC also stems from several other reasons: it was an organization created to diffuse the first real Muslim awakening in the post-colonial era. It was conceived by the self-serving and often self-appointed kings and potentates of the Muslim world at the very beginning of the resurgence of Islamic consciousness in the Muslim mind and it was formally established as Organization of Islamic Conference in Rabat on September 25, 1969. Rabat, let us recall, was then the hub of the most extreme Jewish influence and the immediate cause of its establishment was the criminal arson of al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

The next year, it was decided to establish a permanent secretariat in Jeddah. Over the last forty years, the organization grew from its 25 founding members to its present membership of 57 states, all but five of which are autocratic states run by overlords.

In 2005, OIC made a desperate attempt to survive and its third extraordinary session of the Islamic Summit, held in Makkah in December 2005, laid down a “blue print”, really blue with the onslaught of death, but called the “Ten-Year Program of Action”, which envisaged “joint action of Member States, promotion of tolerance and moderation, modernization, extensive reforms in all spheres of activities including science and technology, education, trade enhancement, and emphasizes good governance and promotion of human rights in the Muslim world, especially with regard to rights of children, women and elderly and the family values enshrined by Islam.”

Name for a change?

This attempt remained unsuccessful, but on June 28, 2011, when its body was already in death convulsions, it made another attempt: it tried to resurrect itself by changing its name to “Organisation of Islamic Cooperation”. This, however, proved to be futile and it died in violent agony. Since then, its body has been waiting a burial. Can someone please hurry up and dig a grave.

The decaying body has become so nauseating that one does not even have time and patience to write an obituary. But something should be said, lest it takes revenge and sends back the potentates who established it into the world in the form of ghosts. This is not merely a joke: the ghost of that terrible man called Hafez al-Assad is already wrecking havoc in Homs.

According to the last reports (as of February 7, 2012), Syrian military assault on Homs has maimed and massacred hundreds of people, following the defeat of a UN Security Council resolution, because of dual veto by China and Russia, the United States has shut its embassy in Damascus and Belgium and Britain recalled their ambassadors.

The current massacre in Homs is nowhere close to the Hama massacre of February 1982, when the Syrian army, under the orders of the Hafez al-Assad, conducted a scorched earth operation against the town of Hama under the direct supervision of Assad’s younger brother, Rifaat al-Assad, who now lives in London in luxury. Then at least 20,000 people and as many as 40,000 Syrians were brutally murdered by the father of the current ruler.

One must also remember the Black September Massacre in Jordan, “the single deadliest act by any Arab government against its own people in the modern Middle East”, and countless “lesser” massacres which continue to happen throughout the Muslim world. One must also remember that OIC never uttered a word against these massacres as it has never uttered a single word about the current round of massacres in Yemen, Libya, Egypt, and Syria.

Over the span of its existence, OIC witnessed various ups and downs; it had many storms in many cups of tea. Its potentate members, who represented no one but themselves, used to come together in grand gatherings to bolster their egos. In one of the sessions, Gaddafi is said to have blown smoke of his cigar on the Amir of Qatar, and finally he paid the price for it. But many escaped justice in this world, although nothing can save them from the justice of the Most Just.

Its most unforgivable crime is that it successfully diffused the Islamic fervor of two generations and sucked up all hopes of a pan-Islamic future. It destroyed hope throughout the Muslim world when that hope was still in its nascent state. It blew out the candle when light had just started to flicker after a long night of colonial rule.

The body of this deadly Organization, even in its new incarnation, does not deserve anything, but just so that one can at least protect future generations from its stench, it must be buried along with all of its parts including the sitting and standing committees, one of which is in Islamabad.
