I BOUGHT my first personal computer in 1983, a Commodore 64 (C64). As the name suggests, it featured 64 kilobytes (KB) of memory. What can you do with that amount of memory? Not much. One page of a typed text is already 2KB. But then the PC was still in its infancy.

Today, you don't need to break a 320-page text into 12 separate files as in the classic C64. Data stored in a laptop these days are millions of times more than those stored in the PCs of the 1980s.

Today's data is measured in kilobyte (KB), megabyte (MG), gigabyte (GB), terabyte (TB), petabyte (PT), exabyte (EB), zetabyte (ZB) and yottabyte (YB) sizes...MORE

Hape???
Yoya byte? yotta byte? terror byte?
